​Mission activities have been a fundamental belief of Sunrise since it was first established.

Like many churches formed in the 1950s, Sunrise was helped financially as a mission project from other established churches. Our charter states that we will always maintain a strong focus on doing Mission work.

Sunrise has many Mission activities, including activities supported by the church as a whole and activities supported by individual members. Sunrise supports activities led by the worldwide Presbyterian church in addition to our local missions.

Most of our local mission work has originated from our members seeing a need in the community, letting other members know about it, and asking for volunteers. These needs can be a one-time need or a long-term commitment to help.

The mission for Sunrise is more than giving money, it is giving our time and Christian love to others in need.
