The Missions of Sunrise
Mission activities have been a fundamental belief of Sunrise since it was first established.

Like many churches that were formed in the 1950s Sunrise was helped financially as a mission project from other established churches. A part of our charter states that we will always maintain a strong focus on doing Mission work.

Sunrise has a multitude of Mission activities; these include activities supported by both the church as a whole and activities supported by individual members. Sunrise also supports activities that are led by the worldwide Presbyterian church in addition to our local missions.

Most of our local mission work has originated from our members seeing a need in the community and letting other members know about it and asking for volunteers. These needs can be a one-time need or a long-term commitment for help.

Mission for Sunrise is more than giving money, it is giving our time and Christian love to others that find themselves in need.
