About Pastor Jessica
I joined the staff of Sunrise Presbyterian Church in the fall of 2021, returning to my native Montana after several years away.
Before moving to Great Falls, I served at congregations in Vinton, Iowa, Cut Bank, Montana, and Millburn, New Jersey. I am ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church, USA. I have a BA from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Now the important stuff: I love coffee. I love books and reading. I love fishing, but mostly for the opportunity to sit outside with no other agenda. I have two sons at home that keep me on my toes.
I am a “cradle Presbyterian” – that is to say I was born into the Presbyterian version of Christianity. And it’s a joy for me to be part of the Presbyterian tradition. The motto “Reformed, always reforming” is one that resonates strongly with me. The church is always moving, growing, and changing. At the same time, we hold onto the traditions and basic beliefs that are dear to us and important in faith.

Sunrise Presbyterian is a church family. It is a place where folks want to learn your name and celebrate who you are as an individual. More than that, I was drawn here as a minister after seeing its strong commitment to mission and outreach. This is a church that desires to serve the world around it.
